Pros: stylish, great eraser, precision writing, shaker doesn’t advance too much lead, lead lock feature

Cons:  pocket clip flimsy, not pocket safe

Does it make the Top Ten?  YES!  The Tombow Mono Graph Shaker is very similar to the form and “hand feel” of the Uni Kuru Toga.  It has far better features than the Kuru Toga and the only thing you sacrifice is the lead rotation mechanism.  I can live without it.  As I’ve written before, the mechanism is interesting and “rights a wrong of writing” (alliteration notwithstanding), but it gives the pencil a spongy feel that makes it less precise.  If you like the feel of the Kuru Toga but are not sold on the lead rotation, this is a better version of the theme.

Sorry Staedtler 925 05, you done got BUMPED.  Not a bad pencil, but in light of recent acquisitions and further experience, it just seems out of place on the Top Ten.
