Pilot RexGrip Mechanical Pencil Review

The RexGrip is one of the low end offerings by Pilot.  Like most Pilot’s, the low end performs better than many company’s top ends.  Watch the video review on YouTube!

Pros: Solidly constructed and good feel in the hand for this price range, retractable drafting sleeve, no wobble while erasing, G2 eraser fits this pencil

Cons: Tiny eraser, relatively unknown in US

Writing experience: Good

Quality: Good

Features: Good

Price: Cheap (1.50 to 4.50 on Amazon, depending on the color)

This one kicks the Zebra M-301 off the honorable mentions and earns it’s place there.  A pencil doesn’t have to be expensive to be great.  This one deserves an honorable mention!  If you can’t get the RexGrip, I’d recommend the very easy to obtain Pilot G2 mechanical pencil as a worthy doppleganger that is slightly lower quality and not as easy on the eyes.
